3,780 new cases, a third of infections in Selangor

The Ministry of Health (MOH) informed that a total of 3,780 new Covid-19 infections were reported nationwide as of this afternoon.
Of that number, Selangor continued to record the highest figure of 1,275 cases or equivalent to one -third of the total.
This is followed by Sarawak (405), Kedah (363), Kelantan (357), Kuala Lumpur (342), Johor (224), Penang (187), Pahang (159), Melaka (122), Perak (115), Sabah (87), Negri Sembilan (70), Terengganu (58), Labuan (7), Putrajaya (7) and Perlis (2).
A total of 3,900 patients were reported cured today. That number to some extent reduces the number of active cases accommodated in hospitals at present.
Short status:
New cases: 3,780 (91.8 per cent involving locals)
Active cases: 41,889 cases
Patients in the ICU: 520 people
Patients in need of respiratory assistance: 272 people
Deaths: 36 cases
Death
The number of deaths reported today brings the total number of Covid-19 casualties in Malaysia to 1,902 people.
Deaths were reported today in Selangor (8), Penang (6), Sarawak (5), Kedah (5), Kuala Lumpur (4), Perak (3), Negeri Sembilan (2), Terengganu (2), and Pahang (1).
The youngest victim recorded today was a 29 -year -old local man who was obese. He died at Tuanku Jaafar Hospital in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan.
11 new clusters
MOH also informed that there are 11 more new clusters identified today, making the currently active clusters as many as 470 clusters.
Of these latest clusters, four of them involve educational institutions, three community clusters and two workplace and religious clusters each.
