4,113 Covid-19 cases, 34 deaths

PETALING JAYA: The health ministry has reported 4,113 Covid-19 cases and 34 deaths in the past 24 hours.
Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said there were 4,190 recoveries, bringing the total number of those discharged to 418,897.
In a statement, Noor Hisham said the total number of infections now stands at 462,190.
There are 41,471 active cases with 482 patients being treated in intensive care and 250 requiring respiratory assistance.
Meanwhile, the 34 deaths take the number of fatalities to 1,822.
There were 4,112 local infections today comprising 3,791 Malaysians and 321 foreigners, as well as one imported case.
Selangor recorded the highest number of cases with 1,269.
This was followed by Sarawak with 533 cases, Kelantan (371), Johor (335), Kuala Lumpur (306), Penang (266), Kedah (228), Pahang (178), Terengganu (165), Perak (147), Negeri Sembilan (124), Melaka (107), Sabah (53), Putrajaya (20), Labuan (6) and Perlis (5).
All 34 who died were Malaysians aged between 45 and 84. All except two had existing medical conditions.
