This is the famous pasta dish made by Gigi Hadid that went viral and it deserves all the hype! I prepared it without the vodka since we're muslims.

WHAT'S THE BIG DEAL WITH ALL THE HYPE?

That's simple, lol. It's a dish offered by a very well-known celebrity! Gigi is a likeable character that represents a lot more than just a powerful fame. Alla Vodka Pasta (Spicy Vodka Pasta Sauce) is a popular meal, and it's full of delicious tastes. It's simple to see why this recipe was such a hit with so many people!

INGREDIENTS FOR GIGI HADID’S VIRAL PASTA RECIPE (WITHOUT THE VODKA)

• penne pasta or spaghetti noodles

• olive oil

• onion

• garlic cloves

• tomato paste

• heavy cream or half and half

• crushed red pepper

• pasta water

• butter

• parmesan cheese

• salt and pepper to taste

• basil for garnish

STEPS TO PREPARE THIS RECIPE

1. Boil the pasta according to the package instructions. In a large skillet on medium high heat add the olive oil and cubed onions. Sauté’ the onions for a few minutes until translucent then add in the minced garlic and sauté’ for another 1-2 minutes.

2. Add in the tomato paste, heavy cream, butter, pasta water, (some add vodka), crushed red pepper (optional) parmesan cheese, salt and pepper and mix until combined.

3. Add in your drained pasta and mix in with the sauce. Garnish with fresh basil and enjoy!

Are there any vodka substitutes in cooking?

There sure are! Just to name a few: grape juice or apple juice mixed with a bit of lime juice, balsamic vinegar, or simply lemon and lime juice mixed with a bit of water.
