The implementation of the full Movement Control Order (MCO) nationwide is one of the drastic measures being considered by the government to curb the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Law) Takiyuddin Hassan said the option would be discussed further when the National Security Council (NSC) meets with the Prime Minister and state government representatives tomorrow.

“That (total lockdown) is one of the steps that need to be considered by the NSC, the options we have after we implement PKP, PKPB, PKPP and so on. Those are the steps that need to be taken, either overall or targeted.

"Tomorrow there will be a NSC conference, it will probably be discussed there involving the Prime Minister, Chief Ministers and Chief Ministers," he said in a press conference here today.

Earlier, Takiyuddin, who is also the Member of Parliament for Kota Bharu, attended a meeting of the Kelantan State Special Security Committee (JKKN) chaired by Menteri Besar Datuk Ahmad Yakob at the Kota Darulnaim Complex today.
