What have we discovered after nearly a year of working from home? Tidy workplaces are considerably simpler to be efficient in, and attractive workspaces are much easier to be efficient in. A well-chosen coffee arrangement may save the day. And because sitting is killing us, it's past time to get up. As we begin the new year in this now-familiar setting, some new WFH ground rules are to follow.
1. A PLANT CORNER CONTINUES TO GIVE LIFE
Just seeing some traces of nature or green helps almost anybody feel calmer, and plants actually filter the air as they sit there looking wonderful. If you're a plant killer, consider watering less frequently—overwatering is usually the culprit.

2. ANY SITUATION CAN BE DIFFUSED
You can almost feel your pulse slowing and your attention sharpening as tiny puffs of essential-oil-tinged mist come out of this cool little stone urn.

3. STANDING DESK
Standing instead of sitting prevents more ills than we can list: a poor back, weight increase, premature mortality... This great standing desk riser is recommended by several goop editors for its incredibly strong construction, quick up-and-down lifting, and small frame that effortlessly holds two monitors with plenty to spare. Furthermore, it is ready to use straight out of the box.

4. ANY DESK CAN BE MADE HAPPIER WITH A LITTLE DÉCOR.
These handblown glass containers provide immediate flair to even the most mundane desktop, perhaps encouraging bursts of creativity. Every night as we close the day, we straighten up our pens and pencils in the tumbler and toss lip balms and other workplace miscellanea in the bowl, so everything appears peaceful and curated the next morning, at least for a minute.

5. UPGRADE YOUR COFFEE BREAK
If you miss the deliciousness—and distraction—that your morning or noon coffee run used to bring, consider making more of your current coffee habit. Choose your coffee with the same care that you do your technique (we love a pour-over, and we really love our new goop coffee). Pour the finished product into a stylish glass mug and feel a bit pampered, along with your clear mind and second wind.

P/S: DON'T! Work from your bed or the couch.
Although it may seem appealing, it is advisable to avoid working in your bed if at all feasible. Otherwise, you'll learn to link your bed with work, making it difficult to sleep at night.
If you work from home, sitting in the same location after work for a Netflix binge-watching session will feel less restful.
